MANLY Beach has been named the best beach in Australia by TripAdvisor...  and when you look at this fabulous Aerial photo by Joel Coleman,  how could Manly NOT take out the top gong.

It was announced on Wednesday that the popular peninsula beach had made the top spot for the first time in TripAdvisor’s 2018 Travellers’ Choice Awards.

Travellers who use TripAdvisor — a travel planning and booking site — voted in Manly ahead of Surfers Paradise Beach (second) and Whitehaven Beach (third).

The only other NSW beach in the top 10 was Bondi, which was ranked fifth.

Manly MP James Griffin said this accolade is well-deserved recognition for what is now officially Australia’s best beach.

“Manly is loved by locals and visitors from across the globe,” he said.

”It's no surprise to see our beach named the number one beach in the country, thanks to its stunning coastline, waterside bars and restaurants, picturesque walking tracks and direct access by ferry from Sydney’s CBD.”

“Manly attracts around 2.3 million visitors each year and with the inaugural Vissla Sydney Surf Pro kicking-off this weekend, now is the perfect time to visit our beautiful beachside suburbs.”
