The people of the world have spoken: Manly Beach is Australia’s  No. 1  best beach and is ranked  No. 7  in the world. 

 



TripAdvisor today released its 2024 Travelers’ Choice Awards  Best of the Best Beaches

This list “celebrates the highest level of excellence in travel.  It’s awarded to those who receive a high volume of above-and-beyond reviews and opinions from the TripAdvisor community over a 12-month period.

Out of our 8 million listings, fewer than 1% achieve this milestone.” No small accolade for our local beach which came in just behind the likes of Portugal’s Praia da Falésia, Spain’s Lan Concha and Anse Lazio in the Seychelles. 

Trip Advisor’s description sets the scene claiming “Manly Beach is at the center of everything—literally. Just a quick ride from the Sydney CBD, it’s surrounded by shops, cafes, and more.”

Manly’s iconic Shelly Beach also made it in the top 20 Australian beaches, beating Coogee Beach, Perth’s Scarborough Beach and Byron Bay.
