As part of the 'Crave Sydney' celebrations throughout October, locals and tourists alike will be able to travel along the Sydney Harbour foreshore with Sydney Harbour Island Hopping.

For the first time from October 3-25 there will be a ferry ticket that will enable people to make a trip between four of Sydney's major islands Fort Denison, Shark, Clark and Garden Islands  all with their own surprises awaiting visitors.

Departing every half hour from Circular Quay, you'll be able to jump on a ferry and begin your Island Hopper journey. And the best thing is you can stay and hang out at any island as you please.

Relive the colonial history at Fort Denison while enjoying a lazy luncheon at the Fort Denison Cafe & Restaurant. A specially designed menu has been created to cater for the occasion. Accompany the fine food and the gorgeous views, will be live performances by a pianist and singer.

Shark Island will bring out the kid in everyone. Sit down for a picnic amongst the mysterious and mythical creatures that call Shark Island home. This will also give you taste of the Sydney's Children Festival that is also running in the same month.

Learn more about the Indigenous culture over at Clark Island with workshops teaching how to fish, dance and use plants for food and medicine.

And if you're around Clark Island on October 25, stay for The Perfect Picnic where you can just hang out with your mates as you tuck into your BYO picnic. Chill out to the tunes played live by DJ Lady Trey or team up for outdoor games that will be provided like badminton, bocce and giant chequers and chess. Prizes will also be given throughout the day for the best costumes and picnic setup.

Your final stop of the four is Garden Island and just as the name suggests there is a garden on this island! In fact it's a 150 years old rose garden with Victoria-era buildings surround it - the perfect setting to remember Australia's naval heritage.

Speaking of remembering history, step back into the 1920s on October
21-22 when it was tradition on the island to host Tea Dances. The New Troadero Dance Orchestra will set the mood and get people doing the jitterbug or swing dance.

Ticket prices for Island Hopping, The Perfect Picnic and the Tea Dance vary. For ticket prices and purchases see Ticketmaster at www.ticketmaster.com.au or call 136 100.
